Happon Ramen House – Cepeda St.

Happon Ramen House is a 10-12 seater ramen joint built to look like the local and authentic ramen houses in Japan. They serve 8 types of ramen bowls, all using rich flavorful Chicken Paitan soup base, which is said to be a “healthier” alternative to your everyday ramen. Aside from ramen, they also offer gyoza and chicken karaage.

Ca Phe Saigon is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Marikina. Set inside a homey restaurant, which is a portion of owner Margareth Bonifacio’s house, expect authentic traditional Vietnamese favorites such as pho noodles, fresh spring rolls and Vietnamese coffee. The dishes served are supervised by Margareth’s mom who is actually a Vietnamese that has found home in the Philippines.

Rodic’s Diner – Marikina

A favorite of the UP community, Rodic’s is a top name in tapa, and has been for many years. While they have since expanded to several other branches around Quezon City and Makati, no one ever forgets the first at UP Diliman’s Shopping Center. And now, Marikina residents have a reason to celebrate because they just opened up a branch near the Marikina City Hall.

Shachihoko Ramen is a contemporary Japanese restaurant serving dishes with flavors inspired from the Nagoya province. Their menu includes sushi, donburi bowls, ramen, gyoza and more. Here’s a fun fact: Shachihoko is an animal in Japanese folklore that has a head of a dragon and body of a carp. It is an iconic figure known to bring rain and thus symbolizes protection from fire.
