Cafe Sanso – Little Baguio

Café Sanso is named after the internationally acclaimed artist, master painter and printmaker, Juvenal Sansó. The casual dining restaurant is located beside Fundacion Sansó (Sanso Museum) in San Juan City, established in 2015 with the guidance and generous support of the artist himself.

Fun Fact: Sanso was born in Reus, Catalonia, Spain in 1929.
Five years later, his family moved to Manila where Sanso enjoyed an idyllic childhood until World War II broke out in the Philippines

The restaurant is run by sisters Hazel and Arielle Frias with Executive Chef JB Calungcaguin, who is considered one of the many bright young chefs in the local culinary scene.

Like the master Sansó, the cafe’s menu is Spanish with a Filipino heart. With Chef JB at the helm of the kitchen, the restaurant serves international dishes like pizza, pasta and steaks, as well as traditional Spanish dishes including paella, callos, croquetas, and jamon.
