Another masterpiece by Ton Gonzales, Tipsy Pig Gastropub is not only a go-to bar to get drinks with your friends, but it’s also a one-of-a-kind restaurant that offers a delectable gastronomic experience to your taste buds! Must-tries are the Beer Can Chicken, Boneless Crispy Pata, Belly Good Sisig Tacos, Rigatoni Pasta with Spicy Shrimp and their oh-so-good Mashed Potatoes. For drinks, the Salted Caramel beer and Peach beer won us over.
Artisan Emporium, by Chef Mira Cruz, specializes in hand-crafted breads, jams, dips and butter. You can be reassured that all pastries are freshly-baked for they always have a 20% off sale on their selected items every night from 8 PM onwards. Do try their Buttered Pandesal, Ube Chiffon Custard Cake, Smores Cake and Mini Apple Tartin Lattice. They also serve meals, and the Hickory Pork BBQ is a must-try!
Peri Peri Is known for their charcoal chicken served with different kinds of sauces. Once you’ve ordered your Chicken Plate, go for the Fowl-Mouthed Chili Peppa if you want something extra spicy; Hen Dynasty’s Hoisin Sesame and Count Cluckula’s Garlic Brew for non-spicy but savory flavors. The Chicken Tajine and Plato Porco are definite must-tries too!
Dubbed as the World’s #1 Japanese Curry House, Coco Ichibanya is famous for their insanely flavorful curry dishes! Get curried away with their Pork Cutlet Omelet Curry, Cheese Hamburger Curry, Seafood Curry and Cheese Curry. Curraaazyyy!
Ramen get it at Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen! They’re known to specialize in Tonkotsu ramen which uses pork broth to bring exciting flavors to their soup! Have no regrets in their Black Garlic Tonkotsu, Ajitama Tonkotsu, and a side order of their Gyoza.
In case you didn’t know, Purple Yam is a Brooklyn-based Filipino restaurant that is an advocate of globalizing Filipino cuisine and is a big supporter of small local producers. Its first branch, Purple Yam Malate, is set in renowned Chef Amy Besa’s 1950s ancestral home. This 2nd branch is a permanent kiosk serving breakfast, some light meals and their signature Filipino-flavored ice creams.
