We bet you already have a go-to drinking spot for your barkada, but this might just be your new favorite one. (And your wallet won’t hate you for it.)

From the chefs that brought us Tipsy Pig Gastropub comes a new and inspired gastronomic experience. Introducing a new fusion cuisine and inspired by the popular cubano sandwiches, Cubanos Fil-Cuban Cantina is here to offer a unique blend of flavors from both Filipino and Cuban cuisines.

Cuban cuisine is described as  ‘a blend of Native American Taino food, Spanish, African, and Caribbean cuisines,’–the chefs felt it lacked familiarity to the Filipino taste and needed a few tweaks. A few experiments in the kitchen then gave birth to a unique fusion cuisine that makes Cubanos Fil-Cuban Cantina City Golf’s latest hidden gem.

Upon entering the place, its unique wall art, Caribbean music, and indoor food truck come together to create a cool vibe that will remind you of L.A.’s street food scene and maybe even of the famous food movie, ‘Chef’.

Within a week of opening, many diners have already started to flock the place for their best-selling Cubano Filipino, a Pinoy take on the classic cubano–it is made with roasted lechon kawali, pulled pork lechon and sweet soy on a cuban pan de sal. It comes with a special BBQ dip you definitely must try. Other dishes include comfort food such as nachos, ribs, and wings.

Don’t be fooled by their servings, prices are WAY AFFORDABLE. Can you believe this full rack of ribs + chorizo rice + elote (good for 2) sells for just Php310? But be careful, the ribs may be on the spicier side.

Havana Sand

Their drinks hit two birds with one stone, too: They taste good and they’re really cheap, ranging from just 49-75 pesos per bottle/glass of beer or cocktails. Among their tropical concoctions, the Havana Sand (made with rum, pineapple, and calamansi) is a definite must-try. P.S., Love hard drinks? Don’t worry, they have it too.

Insider Tip: They have a secret off-menu dessert, and it involves peanut butter!

If you’re out looking for a good place to bond with your friends over awesome food and cheap booze, this is definitely the place to be. You won’t even have to wait for payday; the prices are too good that it would hardly hurt your wallet!

Cubanos Fil-Cuban Cantina is open from 4pm-3am, Mondays to Sundays.
