True to their name, the word “kessaku” (pronounced kessah-koo, accent on the ‘koo’) translates to “creating masterpieces“. Their no-frills menu includes everything from sushi boats to tempura, wagyu cubes, and more. It’s for the two who love their bento boxes and sushi more than anything, except each other. It’s not for the couple not in the mood to use chopsticks.

Mona Lisa is a hidden Italian restaurant with an extensive menu where they have dishes to represent every region of Italy. It’s for the lovebirds who want to transport to a romantic European City. It’s not for the partners in crime up for a grittier date.
Melo’s – Westgate
Melo’s Steakhouse by Carmelo Santiago is the first in the Philippines to offer Certified Angus Beef. It’s also one of the few spots to offer authentic Wagyu beef. It’s for a night of fine dining with great ambience at their al fresco seating area that will treat you to live music. Picada Tapeo Restaurante is a Catalan-inspired restaurant serving up Spanish fares such as tapas, paella, wine, and even sangria. Recommended dishes include their Pinxtos, Chiperones, and Cerdo Asado. It’s for the couple that wants to chill at their backyard, because Picada literally has one. It’s not for the two who don’t enjoy a simple wine night under fairy lights.
Butamaru – Westgate
This ramen house from the South serves the noodles with fresh vegetables and tossed in black sesame dressing. You can also their other salad ramen flavor, the Kani Salad Ramen (cold ramen, shredded kani, mentaiko dressing). It’s for the couple that loves their noodles fresh and clean. It’s not for those who don’t like noodles.
Crostatina – Madison Galeries
Crostatina Patisserie and Cafe, your neighborhood cafe serving savory and sweet dishes to satisfy your craving for good food using only the freshest and quality ingredients. Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen – BF Homes
Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen serves up authentic Italian cuisine with dishes like pizzas (which you can order two flavors of in one pizza), pasta, risotto, and more. Recommended dishes include Risotto Tartufo Funghi, Spaghetti Seafood Olio, and Truffle Mac & Cheese. It’s for those who enjoy authenticity and have no qualms with the homey ambience. It’s not for those looking for an upscale wine night with candle lights around.
Señor Pollo – ATC Corporate Center
Señor Pollo is a Latin American restaurant and Bar specializing in fried and roast chicken as well as bar bites. We recommend their Grilled Chicken, Señor Pollo Roast, and the Crispy Chicken Sisig. It’s for the couple that can’t resist a simple, good roasted chicken and beer. It’s not for those who don’t think Latin-American food is romantic. Please reconsider.

Hanamaruken Ramen – Alabang Town Center
Hanamaruken Ramen, a decades-old mom-n-pop ramen chain, hails from streets of Osaka, Japan. Famous for its “Happiness Ramen”, Hanamaruken serves a signature soft bone ramen unmatched in tenderness and flavor. It’s for those who find happiness in ramen. It’s not for those who don’t enjoy Japanese food! But who doesn’t, am I right?
Southern Dairy – Aguirre Ave.
Southern Dairy is an ice cream parlour serving small-batch homemade gelato. Menu favorites include the Mango & Graham Chunks, Chocolate Oreos and its signature Butter Cake Cream Cheese. They also serves some light meals, sundaes, floats, cakes, cookies and milkshakes. It’s for the pair that doesn’t mind being a little two sweet. It’s not for the couple that tend not to order dessert.

Trattoria Altrove – BF Homes
Trattoria Altrove offers authentic Italian dishes, with the signature brick oven wood fired pizza. They also serve Antipasti, Pasta, Risotto, Lasagna, several meaty dishes, home-made desserts. To round up a delicious meal, they offer several kinds of wines & liquors. It’s for those in the mood for a rustic pizza place. It’s not for those who don’t don’t like a little crisp on their crust.
Aburi – Madison Galeries
From the team that brought us Relish and Romulo Cafe, Aburi offers modern Japanese cuisine specializing in aburi or “torched” sushi, chirashi bowls and other unique dishes. It’s for those who stuff themselves with aburi more than any other Japanese dish. It’s not for those who don’t like torched dishes.
Flour Jar – Pilar Village, Las Piñas
With sweet Bali-inspired interiors, Flour Jar started out as a cake supplier, but is now a homegrown cafe and restaurant serving an extensive assortment of cakes, pastries, and coffee with sandwiches, pasta, and others. It’s for those who love bright ambience and flowers all around. It’s not for those who like their date nights dimly lit.

With her brick exteriors and intent to blend quietly with the surroundings, her space serves as an artist’s gallery and cafe that draws attention with its natural beauty. It’s for those who enjoy a little culture and a lot of art infused in their date. It’s not for those who just want a meal. Tsk tsk.

Rue Bourbon is popular for their drinks menu ranging from plain beer to mixed drinks. This New Orleans-themed restaurant also has food menu ranging from bar grubs to full heavy meals. It’s a place easily filled up by yuppies around its area. It’s for the couple down for a beer at any hour with their different flavored beers and other drinks. It’s not for those who prefer to call it an early night.

An old-timer unlimited Korean barbeque joint along Aguirre Avenue, Sing Sing has packages of fresh beef and pork for you and your loved ones.
