Dinner in the Sky is a Belgium-based novelty restaurant service which uses a crane to hoist its diners, table and waiting staff 150 feet into the air.
It’s been listed one too many times as one of the most unusual, crazy and most unique restaurants and dining experiences in the world.
History: 9 years ago, two companies joined forces to bring this dream restaurant to life—Fungroup, a company specializing in amusement park installations deploying cranes and Hakuna Matata, a communications agency specializing in gourmet pleasures.
Today: Dinner in the Sky has served and been organized more than 1,000 times in over 40 countries all over the world, from London to Dubai, from Lisbon to Cape Town, from Istanbul to Las Vegas.
They’ve flown over the most magical places including the Strip of Vegas, the gardens of the King David Hotel, the Marina of Dubai, the hills of the Villa Borghese, the Spa Francorchamps race track, the banks of the St. Lawrence River, the beach of the Copacabana, the bay of Cape Town and many more.
