Brown is gold
If you thought we were leaving milk tea behind in 2018, you were dead wrong. The resurgent milk tea craze that has taken Metro Manila by storm and has produced one long, snaking line after the other is about to get a sugar shot to the arm with the soon-to-open Xing Fu Tang.
Xing Fu Tang is a relatively young milk tea chain that first opened their doors in Taiwan back in January of 2018. But proving that age is just a number, Xing Fu Tang caught on and very quickly opened over 20 branches, with locations in Hong Kong and even Canada, in no small part due to their brown sugar milk tea.
For those unfamiliar, brown sugar milk tea is the latest innovation in the milk tea scene. As the name suggests, brown sugar milk tea makes use of brown sugar pearls that are stir-fried, which result in deeper, more subtle, and almost toasted flavors.
Any self-proclaimed milk tea lover needs to try brown sugar milk tea at least once in their lives, and it doesn’t get better than authentic Taiwanese milk tea from Xing Fu Tang. And with branches opening this January in The Podium, Greenhills Promenade, and McKinley Hills soon, there’s no reason for you not to!
