Fukudaya is a modern traditional Japanese restaurant that’s one of the newest establishments in BGC. After opening just last August, it’s become one of the go-to joints for locals and Japanese nationals who are living in the area.

This homegrown restaurant concept could be the closest that you can get to the real deal in Manila. According to the owners, most of their foreign patrons compare their dishes to the authentic flavors of Japan.
What sets them apart from other Japanese restaurants is that they have specialties based on the fresh ingredients available for the day. These ingredients are flown in from Japan every week so you’re in for a different experience for every visit. They have available seats at their open kitchen area so you can watch the chefs expertly preparing each dish.

Even Fukudaya’s interiors are a mix of traditional and contemporary accents. The calm and relaxing ambiance makes it an ideal place for romantic dates and business meetings.

The restaurant currently has three Japanese chefs on board. Moving forward they will have a resident Japanese sushi chef supervising all the operations in the kitchen, including sourcing local ingredients fresh from the market.
