11 Places to Get Yummy Poke Bowls in Metro Manila

And delicious, too!

People in the US are obsessed over this healthy fast food trend, and we found 10 places in Metro Manila that serve them.

Poke  /pou’kei/, which means “to slice or cut”, is a popular Hawaiian appetizer made from raw fish (usually salmon or ahi tuna), vegetables, and rice.

Poke is considered a go-to comfort food in Hawaii and no gathering is considered complete without it. The craze has crossed seas and reached Northern America. In February of last year, we saw some restaurants starting to offer it, but it’s really just late 2016 when Hawaiian poke shops started to gain traction.

You can go crazy with additional toppings like edamame, avocados, and tobiko (fish roe), then top it off with some soy sauce. Basically, it’s sushi bowls on steroids.
