Huat Pot – Greenhills

Huat Pot is a Taiwanese all-you-can-eat hotpot restaurant in San Juan, helmed by executive chef and owner, Jonas Ng, same man behind popular Le Jardin, a garden-inspired restaurant in BGC.

The place is huge and can accommodate around 130 pax. Private function rooms are available for your business meetings, birthday parties and other events.

Huat Pot focuses on the quality of their menu. All their soup bases are made from scratch, the meat, seafood, vegetables and other hot pot ingredients are guaranteed fresh and free from any preservatives. While some would prefer quantity over quality, at Huat Pot, you can have both.

If it’s your first time, you may follow this quick guide to making your first hot pot!

Step 1: Choose your soup base

There are currently eight variants to choose from: Chicken Soup, Szechuan Soup, Laksa, Sate, Beef Soup,Curry Corn Soup, Vegetable Soup, and Huat Pot Special.

Step 2: Mix sauces and spices

Second, choose your preferred sauces and spices to add to your basic broth. Chef Jonas Ng’s favorite mix includes ginger, soy, sate, coriander, scallion, sesame, black vinegar, garlic, and fresh chili.

Step 3: Pick your toppings

Third step is to visit their full display of toppings and take all that you can eat! They have a wide variety of toppings to choose from including fresh meat selection, seafood, meatballs, crab sticks, dumplings, and everyone’s favorite, cheese balls!

Meat: Beef, lamb, pork

Vegetables: Watercress, pechay, bokchoy, spinach, mustard leaves, etc.

Insider tip: Veggies are the last to go in your hotpot because they only require a small amount of time to cook.

The owners encourage customers to be creative and to try as many combinations as they can. Don’t be shy to ask Chef Jonas or one of their staff for suggestions!

IMPORTANT: Take only as much as you can eat because Huat Pot charges a leftover fee of Php100 per 100 gram.

If you’re too hungry to wait for your hot pot to finish cooking, there are also ala carte dishes that are also part of the buffet. Dimsum and home cooked Asian dishes that are personal recipes of Chef Jonas’ mother are available as well. They are best paired with plain or fried rice.

They also have unlimited desserts for you to indulge on such as buko pandan, homemade taho, halo halo, saba con yelo, maja blanca, banana rolls, fruits, ice cream and more.

If you don’t feel like going for their unlimited hot pot, they also have Huat Pot sets priced at Php 390. Each set comes with a plate of vegetables, assorted balls, and choice of meat.
