Ichiran – multiple branches

Arabica – multiple branches

When you see a cup with a “%“, you know it’s an amazing cup of coffee. Arabica has 3 branches in Kyoto, all having a clean, minimalist look. You can either have a sip of coffee while enjoying the view of  the Arashiyama mountains, the Yasaka Pagoda or taking a break from all of the shopping in Fujii Daimaru department store.

Having your first sip of Gogyo’s kogashi (burnt) miso ramen broth will make you crave for more! Why? Because it’s rich and flavorful.  Try their gyoza too as it’s best paired with their famous burnt miso ramen.

Tsukiji Fish Market – Tokyo

It’s worth it to wake up early in the morning to catch the tuna auction in the Tsukiji Fish Market. Right after the auction, why not have fresh sushi for breakfast! There are many sushi stalls around the market to choose from.

Fun fact: Tsukiji Fish Market is closed on Sundays and holidays. Make sure to check here before your visit to the market.

Where street vibe and coffee go hand in hand. Streamer Coffee Company may be a small cafe but they are known as one of the pioneer third wave coffee in Japan. You do not want to miss their best selling Military Latte, matcha with white chocolate and a shot of espresso (It’s the bomb!).

Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M – multiple branches

Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M offers high quality beef at a reasonable price. Matsusaka beef, coming from a Japanese Black cow,  is evenly marbled, soft and tender. A must try is their Beef Sushi, it’s up to you if you want the meat to be marbled or lean.

Fun fact: Matsusakagyu Yakiniku M is also known for their bubbly and friendly manager, Mr. Kuni, who's kind enough to mingle with the customers. You're lucky if you catch him in the restaurant.
