Babette’s Feast (1987)

Babette’s Feast is a delightful tale of temptation and discovery. Daughters of a devout clergyman, Martine and Philippa become spinsters on the desolate coast of Jutland, keeping alive their father’s teachings long after his death. They lead ascetic lives but when Philippa’s former suitor sends a Parisian refugee to serve as the family cook, their small world begins to change in a big way.

The Hundred Foot Journey (2014)

Burnt (2015)

Adam Jones was once a top chef in Paris until drugs and alcohol led to a meltdown that put his career on hold. Demanding perfection from his newly formed staff, Jones gets a second chance to fulfill his dream of earning a third Michelin star.

The Lunchbox (2013)

Lonely housewife Ila  decides to try adding some spice to her stale marriage by preparing a special lunch for her neglectful husband. Curious about her husband’s lack of response, Ila adds a note to the next day’s lunchbox, and thus begins an unusual friendship.

Chef (2014)

After a controlling owner pushes him too far, Chef Carl Casper quits his position at a prestigious Los Angeles restaurant. Carl joins forces with his ex-wife, best friend, and son to launch a food-truck business, and the venture provides a chance to reignite his passion for cooking – as well as his zest for life and love.

No Reservations (2007)

The story is about a tough and determined head chef who hates leaving the kitchen when she receives compliments from her customers, but is more than ready to storm out if someone insults her cooking. A recipe for disaster may be in the works when she becomes the guardian of her young niece while crossing forks with the brash sous-chef who just joined her staff.

Ratatouille (2007)

Remy dreams of becoming a chef, despite being a rat in a definitely rodent-phobic profession. Like Water for Chocolate (1992)

Like Water for Chocolate revolves around a passionate but forbidden affair between Tita and Pedro. Though he still loves Tita, he weds her older sister which creates a tense situation in their home. Tita’s powerful emotions begin to surface in fantastical ways through her cooking.

Big Night (1996)

Two brothers from Italy open up an Italian restaurant in New Jersey called ‘Paradise,’  in the hopes of saving their failing family business. One day, they are given the opportunity to cook for a special benefit concert which will likely decide the fate of their restaurant.

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs (2009)

Flint Lockwood, a frustrated scientist, creates a machine that can turn water into food.  He becomes a local hero when tasty treats fall from the sky like rain. But when the machine spins out of control and threatens to bury the whole world under giant mounds of food, Flint finds he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

Chocolat (2000)

Vianne and her daughter move to a small village in France where she decides to open a chocolaterie just when the people are still observing the forty days of Lent. When the Mayor begins to see her as a threat to the town’s virtue, things get a little out of hand for the single mother.

I Am Love (2009)

Charlie And The Chocolate Factory (2005)
