ATTENTION COFFEE LOVERS: The 2nd largest coffeehouse chain in the world is opening really really soon.
Where do you usually get your coffee fill for the day? You probably and most likely thought about your favorite cup of Starbucks, Seattle’s Best, or CBTL. But wait, you can all add another go-to coffee place to your list soon because Costa Coffee UK is about to open its doors.
Costa Coffee is a UK-based coffee shop chain created by the Costa brothers, Sergio and Bruno, back in 1971. They originally sold their coffee to local caterers and delicatessens in London. Obviously, word got out and they soon opened their first shop, then another, and another. Fast forward to today, Costa is now one of the largest coffee shop chains in the UK; it was even voted the nation’s favorite coffee shop for three consecutive years now. Despite the scale it has reached. Costa has never stopped growing and expanding locally and internationally.
It is the 2nd largest coffeehouse chain in the world next to Starbucks, and the biggest in the UK.
News about its arrival to Manila first spread like wildfire last July, and finally a date has been set–Costa Coffee Philippines is opening their first branch in Eastwood City on 29th of June.
Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc., through Robinsons Gourmet Food and Beverage Inc. are the big guys to thank of bringing this franchise here. The plan is a 5-year long expansion of building around 70 branches all over the country.
