 The Girl + The Bull

The Girl + The Bull is the brainchild of Gab Bustos (the bull) and Thea De Rivera (the girl), the same hip couple behind popular Japanese izakaya restaurant, 12/10. Inspired by their love of food and art, the product is a unique and visually pleasing dining experience. Read more about their new location here.

La Grima (which translates to tears in Spanish) is the newest coffee/taco concept in Makati. They make everything from scratch including their tortillas and slow cooked meat for their carnitas tacos.

Toby’s is a premier roasting company from Australia serving 3rd wave specialty coffee using beans from owner Toby Smith’s plantation in Panama. It serves breakfast, all-day meals and pastries. You can also enjoy Bucky’s famous buckies at any Toby’s Estate branch.

Unakichi

Unakichi is a Japanese hole-in-the-wall restaurant that specializes in grilled unagi or eel. The menu boasts of different unagi dishes including eel bone! Currently, the most popular items on the menu are the Unajyu Jo (grilled fine eel with rice) and Unajyu Gokujo (grilled excellent eel with rice). Read more about them here.

The upscale grocery was one of the first handful of trendy food spots in New York in 1997. It introduced ingredients such as virgin olive oil and sun dried tomatoes which now grace the shelves of any major grocery around the world. Dean & DeLuca has since expanded to include several groceries across the United States, three cafes in New York City alone, and over thirty-five stores in countries such as Singapore, Japan, and the Middle East. Made Nice Supper Club, or simply ‘Made Nice’, is a hip fusion restaurant hiding in Makati. It is an upscale concept with impressive aesthetics from interiors down to plating. The menu consists of ‘contemporary Western cuisine with Asian influences‘, as co-owner Gabbi Ramos Flores describes it.
