NIU is Vikings 2.0 – the interiors are modern and luxurious, and the buffet stations are grander and of top quality. It’s definitely an upgrade from its pioneer brand, Vikings Luxury Buffet.
FUN FACT: NIU (pronounced as nee-uh) means 'nine' in the old Norse language; it is a reference to the 'cloud nine' experience they wants guests to feel whenever they dine at NIU.
With Cloud 9 as their clear reference for the food heavens, NIU has nine stations – Cold Station, Japanese, Chinese, Pan-Asian, Grill, Western, Carving, Beverage, and Dessert.
With live piano performances (including a popular rendition of the Game of Thrones theme song), get into the international ambience along with their VIP rooms named Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
Offering seasonal and limited menu items off the buffet, get the lowdown of their hidden dishes from any of their staff. But don’t worry about getting charged extra – it’s still part of your whole buffet experience!
Insider tip: They churn their gelato by themselves, so all their gelato and ice cream flavors are homemade!
