Planning a productive day away from your comfy bed? Quarks & Quills Study Center and Work Cafe is the answer to your working woes. It’s got everything you need: a calm, quiet atmosphere and food for fuel.
With a natural yearning for learning, the owner of the space mixed his background of teaching with a new experience, delving into the restaurant business. But Quarks & Quills started out as just a study center – day in, day out, students would settle in with never-ending fast food, devouring full meals as snacks to keep them going. The answer to this was to offer more options, both healthier and more diverse to feed the hungry minds and tummies that came in.
Insider tip: No need to scout for sockets, because they've got enough for everybody. And did we mention Fiber connection??? No WiFi problems here.
But they didn’t stop all-nighters and hell weeks – they finally opened their doors to students and freelancers alike as a co-working space. Unlike other similar spaces, Quarks & Quills doesn’t charge an hourly rate. Sharing is caring. With a rustic yet industrial touch to the interiors, it’s kept clean and minimalistic to help customers focus on their plates.
Fun fact: Embracing all pursuits of passion, the name of the place is an ode to both science and art, hence quarks and quills.
With two chefs armed with different backgrounds (Western and Japanese cuisine), their menu serves an array of Asian-inspired comfort food. Not only are dishes diverse in flavor, but also in price and volume making it accessible for anyone. An affordable meal for the student on a tight budget? A hearty meal to splurge and binge? Or light snacks and brain food in between working? They’ve got you.
Fun fact: Special themed menus are served every now and then. The first one coming up is a Greek menu that consists of everything from appetizers and meal sets to dessert!
