One of the recent food trends to hit our local food scene is the slow-cooking of huge slabs of meat and mouthwatering ribs. In this list we scoured the streets of the metro for some of the newest barbecue joints that serve smoked and slow-cooked carnivorous dishes that would surely turn away any vegetarian in sight.

Are you ready to try the juiciest meats out there? Smoke and Barrel serves melt-in-your-mouth Southern American specialties with matching sides. The Smokeyard – Don Pedro St.

The Smokeyard is the brainchild of internationally-trained pitmaster, Troy Conine. This classic American BBQ joint serves low & slow smoked meats including pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, beef ribs, chicken, and grilled sausages. Their freshly-smoked meats are best enjoyed with their homemade sauces.
