Inspired by the Canadian cafe Snakes and Lattes, the owners took their friends’ love for board games to share with a larger community, stamped a witty name at the storefront, and the rest was history. Three years later, they’ve created a home where games are taken very seriously.

Due to its wooden accents and glass interiors, you’re given the illusion of stepping into a modern, homey cabin of sorts. Unlike many board game cafes, there’s no need to get competitive (or is there) for seats, because there’s room for everybody! With a spacious setup, there are two floors with tables and bean bags alike.

For the non-board game players just tagging along, there’s a foosball table, a giant Snakes and Ladders board, a Harry Potter karaoke room (modeled after Harry’s cupboard), and an outdoor giant chess board. And even when you want to dial the competitiveness down, the place hosts trivia nights and improv night to entertain every customer. Keeping consistency in all corners of their playground, they’ve built a whole community in search of fun.
