For the last 26 years, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines has been celebrating the tradition of its famous Soirée Beaujolais to welcome the new harvest and arrival of the young wine, Beaujolais Nouveau. Every November, 65 million bottles of fine wine produced in the Beaujolais vineyard is shipped from France to the Philippines by Ferraud et Fils to pay tribute one of the most popular rituals in the world: the uncorking of the Beaujolais Nouveau.
According to the FCCIP’s website: “Beaujolais, situated in the southern part of France, is known for light red wines made from Gamay grapes.”
This year, key influencers in the local food industry will be joining forces to make the most out of this prestigious event namely, celebrity restaurateur Erwan Heussaff of the Mothership group, actress/endorser Solenn Heussaff, and more emerging local artists will attend the said event to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan at the glamorous Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Hotel. A silent auction of Solenn’s and other artists’ works will be held at the event that’s made possible by the France-Philippines United Action (FPUA) foundation. The proceeds will also help complete of the foundation’s third disaster-resilient village in Bogo City, Cebu.
