Ocean’s Telephone Company (or OTC) is a super cool speakeasy hidden above café and kitchen Frank and Dean. If you’re feeling fancy and are craving for some cocktails made with top shelf liquor, this is the place for you. They usually have great DJs spinning until the early hours of the morning.

From its name, The Exit Bar can be found through a 2nd exit door at the back of Plaza Cafe, a sandwich shop known for their generous servings and limited in-house board games. inside Corinthian Plaza. ABV Cocktail and Absinthe Bar – Jupiter St.
Look for: Lazy Bastard
ABV or Alcohol by Volume is an underground speakeasy-style bar that’s reminiscent of the secret lounges of the 1920’s. They serve classic and signature craft cocktails using local and imported, century-old and other premium alcohol. It is located behind the large wooden door inside Lazy Bastard which looks like an old school elevator. P.S. La Cueva del Chupacabra – Poblacion
Look for: El Chupacabra
El Chupacabra is a Mexican-American restaurant serving street tacos, barbecue and cheap beer. It used to be just an open street diner with no air-condition until they opened La Cueva del Chupacabra, which literally translates as ‘cave of chupacabra’. The place originally served as the comissary of Mexicali.
Hotel Bar – Shangri-la at the Fort
The elusive Hotel Bar is tucked behind a discreet backdoor inside Pink’s at Shangri-la at the Fort. Thanks to its dark interiors, intimate table settings, and no-nonsense menu, it’s probably one of Manila’s best (and most underrated) speakeasies. It’s a casual and contemporary space, with their playlist leaning more on hip-hop rather than jazz; and, if that’s not the best part, get this: you can order snacks from the famed Hollywood hotdog joint to go with your cocktails!
Blind Pig – Legaspi Village
If the obscure signage (in braille!) weren’t cool enough, the place screams speakeasy from the entrance to its awesome interiors and service. First you knock on their door and await access from a staff via a sliding peephole. Once you receive access, be prepared to be transported into a 1920s exclusive lounge where signature cocktails are concocted by bartenders trained by Milk & Honey Member’s Club of New York and London.

Finders Keepers – Chino Roces Ave.
Look for: Black Market
Finders Keepers is an obscure warehouse lounge with an intimate long bar, curated music, crafted cocktails, draft & bottled beers and the ever-present wide selection of superb spirits. It has a no smoking policy in the warehouse, but feel free to do so outside.
Just when you thought you knew where all the secret speakeasy bars are all located, RM 16 makes its way to Kapitolyo with their iconic Coca-Cola vending machine secret entrance. This one’s located just beside Tittos Latin BBQ, but you need to know the passcode before you can enter.
Tip: Ask Tittos’ friendly waiters about their secret bar!
LIT Manila – BGC
LIT Manila is a small and upscale specialty bar offering the largest and most extensive collection of fine Japanese whisky and spirits, including Nikka Whisky, Suntory and Kirin among others. The attention to details, cultured bartenders and attentive waitstaff make this the perfect mancave. They’re open 5pm-2am.
Bank Bar – The Fort
Look for: 7/11 RCBC Corporate Center
Bank Bar is a speakeasy bar by the Moment Group where you can make “fun investments”. The best part is actually finding it inside the storage room of a 7/11 branch. Aside from its extensive bar selection, it also serves delicious bar chows including porchetta.
Mandalay Whisky & Cigars – Legaspi Village
Look for: The Belle & Dragon
Inside the new restaurant pub, The Belle & Dragon, is another new place to sip whisky and smoke cigars–Mandalay Whisky & Cigars. It is the newest Indochine-inspired speakeasy found behind an old closet you’d find in a Narnia movie.
