Tagged as  ‘A Home Kitchen’ and best known for their steaks and pastas, Mamou has been included on Tatler Magazine’s annual Best Restaurants List for 7 straight years (which is the same number of years they’ve been operating). It’s for families and groups who enjoy western style comfort food. It’s not for people who are looking for cheap wine nights. We recommend their Angus Ribeye Steak and Lorenzo’s Truffle Cream pasta. Our insider tip is to try their signature Key Lime Pie if you still have room for dessert. Here’s a fun fact: Mamou is also the group behind Recovery Food.

The Wholesome Table is an organic restaurant that serves delicious and healthy comfort food by Bianca Araneta-Elizalde, who is a health advocate herself. All produce is sourced carefully and locally where possible. Bianca’s dream has fully bloomed into 3 branches in just under 2 years, all of which are worthy of our best restaurant interiors list. It’s for the hip and health conscious. It’s not for people who want a quick meal under a tight budget. We recommend the Bistek Tagalog from their breakfast menu, Yakitori Bowl, Harvest Pizza and fresh smoothies. Kids menu is available for your little ones too. Our insider tip: It’s dog-friendly, so bring along your best buddy.

It’s not for intimate occasions. We recommend their signature Sizzling Sinigang, Lechon & Oyster Sisig, and the underrated Ginataang Kalabasa. Shaburi is an all-you-can-eat healthy Japanese shabu-shabu from Japan that offers unlimited premium meats, fresh seafood, organic vegetables and a buffet of appetizers and other bites. Unlike other shabu-shabu restaurants that have one communal pot for cooking, Shaburi offers each guest their own personal pot. It’s for big family or barkada dinners. It’s not for anyone who don’t enjoy eating quickly; there’s a time limit. We recommend their value-for-money Shaburi Wagyu all-you-can-eat course. Our insider tip: The same course menu should be selected by all customers in the same table. Read more here.
