Situated right beside the entrance of Shangri-La Place is Wobbly Pan, a small bistro that celebrates the culture of family and traditions in big ways. Wobbly Pan was brought to life when the Hernandez family decided they needed to bring the family together again. This passion project eventually became a way to honor their family’s roots and traditions through what their clan bonded over the most—Spanish food.

“Wobbly Pan” can be interpreted two ways: first, as the family’s frying pan that was passed down from generation to generation, its age showing through its misshapen bottom which made it wobbly. And second, as a way to tell diners that it’s a place that serves food and signature cocktails (that will make you wobbly after a few rounds).

Upon entering the bistro, it’s obvious that it’s not like any other Spanish restaurant. The interiors are cozy, with touches of the industrial and rustic, a warm and inviting marriage of the modern and classic that the menu emulates as well. It has the traditional Spanish dishes that are reinvented to have a bit more spice. The owners emphasized that they did that to be approachable, since they noticed that Filipinos tend to shy away from Spanish restaurants because they seem intimidating.

The entrées are served in cast-iron pans, which is the way Spanish food is traditionally served.
