B&B Burgers and Brewskies
From their New York backyard barbeque parties, owners Mike Floro, Marc Nocon, and Francis Balbarin brought their unusual and savory combinations of the famous hamburger sandwiches to Manila, all served with a 1/3 pound of 100% USDA beef patty. Big Bad Wolf
Sometimes mistaken for an art gallery due to their collection of paintings and art works, their transfer to the burgeoning foodie’s haven at Burgos Circle made them known to appreciate art and good food. Just Thai
Though humbly named, the sole Thai restaurant in the area is never short of flavors from their menu, whether it be the sweet Mango sticky rice, the hot and spicy Kuai Tiao Neua (stewed beef noodle soup) or the sourness and nuttiness of their famous Pad Thai. Reserve Gastro Tavern
Much like its Ortigas counterpart — The Reserve Liquor Lounge, the gastro pub in Taguig has a classier concept and sleek furnishings. Chef Kel of Locavore put up another dining feat that focuses on the clever use of fat to enhance its flavor on each dish – wherein his French cuisine background played an important key role in curating his unique menu; like who wouldn’t want bacon on their Baklava, or his choice of foie gras patty for a burger, we sure do. Known for their quality steaks, Melo’s prevailed in the scene with much pride on serving authentic Wagyu and certified Angus beef cooked to one’s liking. Take it with sauce or no sauce, the juiciness and tenderness of each bite melts in your mouth. Young entrepreneur and an ardent supporter of sustainable living, Bianca Mabanta took to the kitchen to start a new passion — cooking vegan dishes that everyone can enjoy. Her modest vegan menu features gluten-free dishes like their Carb-No-Narra and The Autumnal pasta (sans the cheese), even offering gluten-free breads. Still can’t make a choice? leave it up to the early crowd favorite, The Emerson, a baked lentil-mushroom loaf with ratatouille and potatoes for starters – which interestingly known is named after one of her four cats. With a mother for a Chef and a father as a food consultant, ice cream lover, Nicholai David Go had it all sorted out to create one of the best gelato shops in town; even training in Italy to curate flavors best for Filipino taste. Focused on using as much organic and healthier options for ingredients, the shop offers at least 50 flavors like brown butter pecan, Mexican hot chocolate, manhattan cheesecake, and a whole lot more.
