It is perhaps, Makati‘s best-kept secret. Urban Avenue is home to a hole in the wall restaurant offering Indonesian, Singaporean, and Chinese favorites, and a few other international restaurants have opened up to cater to working foodies on a budget.

The street is not the easiest to find. It’s best accessed on foot from Buendia or around the corner from Makati Medical Center. But that is what Booky‘s navigate app is for, to connect you to Waze or Google Maps to help you find the restaurant you want to try. Download Booky for Android or iPhone to give it a try, and add your favorite hole in the walls to your Must Try list.

While Ilocos empanadas are their specialty, they offer a little something more with specialties such as Crispy Dinardaraan (Crispy Dinuguan) and Imbaliktad (Kilawin). They also have bagnet and serve Ilokano longannisa with pasta or as a wrap. This is not for people who need to mind their cholesterol but if you like it fat and crispy, look no further.
