Yes, it’s such a common piece of advice, but maybe you need to sleep more and in longer quantities. Fatigue makes your skin pale, hence making you look more gaunt. Make sure you log in 7 to 8 hours of shut eye every night and to sleep on your back with an extra pillow to help flush out water buildup from your face

2. Hydrate

As we age, the collagen in our skin begins to break down faster, making skin look older and less elastic. This causes the skin under the eyes look thinner, making the blood vessels under your eyes more visible. Or alternatively,

Retinol (vitamin A) creams boosts collagen production and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. It makes the skin look younger and healthier and normalizes cell turnover to reveal brighter skin.

Tea contains tannins, which is a diuretic that shrinks blood vessels, thus reducing the appearance of dark circles and eyebags. Steep some tea and save the bags. Chill them in the fridge for a while and place them on your eyes for 5 minutes then rinse off with cold water. This brightens the eyes and make them look energized.

6. Cut out salty food and alcohol in your diet

Too much salt and alcohol dehydrates your skin and makes it look puffy, worsening the shadow that’s cast on your undereyes. Replace salty food cravings with vitamin C-rich fruits that promote collagen production, and alcohol with fresh juice to give your skin and body nutrients that it needs.

Some people naturally have smokier eyes due to genetics or illnesses. If you’re one of these people, consider these tips instead.

Peach or orange cancels out the purple and blue hues under your eyes and makes them appear brighter and neutralized. Use the corrector on darker areas of the undereye, then apply concealer in a V shape to lift the tone of the skin, making it look like you never had to pull an all-nighter.

Iron deficiency means the blood lacks healthy oxygenated red blood cells, which is responsible for giving that healthy pinkish glow. People who are anemic lack color and it makes them appear more tired than they actually are. Anemia is not something you could self-diagnose, so head to the doctor for a blood test.

If you have extra coin and would like to get rid of your dark circles ASAP, seek the help of an aesthetician.
