This year of 2016 has been a fun and exciting one when it comes to food trends and new restaurant happenings. You may have seen our list about new dessert trends in Manila and the compilation of Japanese franchises that came to the Philippines this year.

In this list, we’ll be talking about big burgers, glorious steaks, never-ending stacks of pancakes, and the craziest and sweetest milkshakes you’ve ever seen. That’s right; in this article, we’re putting the spotlight on the 10 huge American franchises that we saw in Manila this 2016.

Sugar Factory – Shangri-la Fort

Sugar Factory is an American bar and restaurant that serves gourmet desserts, hot meals, and over the top premium sweets. Celebrities like Britney Spears and Kylie Jenner are famous endorsers for this US brand. They also have signature candy cocktails that you can choose to have without the alcohol. Applebee’s

Pink’s Hotdogs – Shangri-la Fort

Pink’s Hotdogs is a popular US-based hotdog stand that opened first in 1939 in Los Angeles, California. Manila is their first international branch, all thanks to the Wildflour Cafe + Bakery group. We heard that their classic bestseller is none other than, the Chili Dog! Read more here.
