When being different makes all the difference.

Cocina Peruvia on Booky

In this city where sushi, pasta and burgers dominate the food scene, it is refreshing to be introduced to other locally less familiar cuisines. And despite American burgers being one of the most popular comfort dishes in Manila, it’s surprising to realize how different southern American cuisine is.

In the past 3 years, we’ve seen a number of homegrown and international franchises that attempted to replicate such untouched cuisines and popularize it in Manila. One that is able to successfully do so is Cocina Peruvia.

Opened in August of 2015, Cocina Peruvia serves only a small specialized menu of Peru’s must try dishes. Peruvian cuisine is best described as diverse and heavily influenced by its multicultural background and geographical situation.

Open 24/6! Closed from Sunday 11PM until Monday 11AM.

With the kitchen helmed by Chef Him Uy de Baron (of Nomama Artisanal Ramen and I Am Kim fame) and Peruvian Chef Andres Higa as consultant, expect to be surprised with colorful and flavorful ceviches, anticuchos, arroz and many more.
