Most of these restaurants have been slated to open this year. We cannot contain our excitement! While we have loved seeing a boost in the local food scene, it can’t hurt that these multi-national franchises continue to flux in, rattling restaurateurs and reminding everyone to always be at the top of their game.

Pizza Express – Uptown Mall

Status: Open

PizzaExpress is a pizza parlor that first opened in London, with now over 400 restaurants across the United Kingdom and around 40 in overseas countries in Hong Kong, Singapore, India, and in the Middle East. %Arabica Coffee – W City Center

Status: Open

%Arabica is “the smallest coffee roaster chain in the world from Kyoto.” Their dream is to expand to all over the world is becoming a reality – and a little corner in W City Center in BGC is part of making that dream possible. They have over 12 varieties of coffee beans to choose from, including %Arabica beans from their own farm, which can be roasted on the spot. La Mère Poulard – SM Aura

Tucked away in magical Mont Saint Michel, La Mère Poulard has been an ambassador of French culture and tradition since 1888. Now, they’re reaching out to the world. Camp out in SM Aura, you’ll get a whiff of their world-class cataplana dishes, omelette soufflés, and pasta.

Kam’s Roast – SM Megamall

Status: Open

Kam’s Roast Goose (or KRG) is a casual dining restaurant in Hong Kong known for its signature roast goose and other meats. Since its first branch in Wan Chai, the restaurant has consistently been part of “Best Restaurants in HK” lists, and even bagged a Michelin Star in both 2015 and 2016. READ MORE.

Hawker Chan – SM Mall of Asia

Status: Open

Hawker Chan is known for serving the world’s cheapest Michelin-starred meal. The franchise from Singapore was brought here by Foodee Global Concepts, the same folks who brought in international brands like Tim Ho WanTodd Englishllaollao, FOO’D by Davide Oldani, and most recently, Tsuta Ramen. We recommend ordering their soya chicken, char siew, and roasted pork. Prepare to queue! It seems everyone can’t wait to get a taste of this affordable Michelin experience.

Shake Shack – to be announced

Status: Opening in Spring 2019

Shake Shack started out as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan, NY. Today, it’s one of the fastest growing fast-food brands with locations all over the world including outlets in Seoul, Tokyo, London, Moscow, Istanbul, and Dubai. Shake Shack announced on July 18 via their official Instagram that they are finally coming to Manila in Spring 2019. READ MORE.

Popeye’s – to be announced

Status: Unknown

Founded in New Orleans in 1972, Popeyes is best-known for its Southern-style menu featuring spicy chicken, chicken tenders, fried shrimp and others. Thanks to the Kuya J Group, Popeyes, is soon making a comeback in the Philippines! Details are being kept under wraps so we’ll just have to wait and see where and when

Panda Express – to be announced

Status: Unknown

Jollibee Foods Corporation announced just this morning (September 27, 2018) that they’ve established a 50/50 joint venture with Panda Restaurant Group, Inc to bring Panda Express to the Philippines! Founded in 1983 in Glendale, California by the Cherng Family, this Chinese American kitchen is most famous for dishes like Orange Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp!
