Being at the center of the city, Vizco’s has been a signature Baguio restaurant to visit. It’s a café famous for its cakes which are freshly made and affordable. Although it has full menu which offers all meals of the day, it’s a good place to stopover and have merienda as you tour the City of Baguio. It’s for people trying to find a restaurant that will get your money’s worth. It’s not for guests who want a spacious place to eat at. We recommend their strawberry short cake topped with real fresh strawberries. Our insider tip is that it opened a sister restaurant in Camp John Hay’s Technohub called “Photo Fog Café.

It’s for Italian cuisine lovers who want to try novelty pizzas in Baguio. It’s not for people who want multiple cups of rice to supplement their meal. We recommend that you try their brick oven pizzas. Our insider tip is that they even have a nutella-based pizza to satisfy your sweet tooth.

It’s for people who want to try almost anything as it has a wide variety of food ranging from horse tapa to sticky rice with mango. It’s not for groups of people who prefer an enclosed space. When talking about Baguio’s Must-Try’s, Café by the Ruins has always been part of the list, serving natural and local ingredients that embodies its Baguio-way of cooking dishes. It’s for people who want to taste authentic Baguio-made dishes that tell something about the region’s culture. It’s not for guests who have a deep stomach who require substantial amount of food to be full. We recommend the Pinikpikan (a chicken soup used in rituals by natives), the Baguio Bagnet with Padas bagoong, tomato relish, and lime. Our insider tip is that it now has a newly opened branch called Café Dua located Upper Session Road.

1. Hill Station – Upper Session Road

When a restaurant wins back-to-back recognition in Miele’s Best Restaurants in Asia awards, you know you just have to see what the fuss is about. Hill Station is a fusion of European, American, and Asian cooking helping you explore the world through its plates and casual Baguio-style cabin setup. It’s perfect for family dinners or intimate gatherings as it serves 5-star quality cuisines. It’s not for people who are living on a tight budget. We recommend the Cambodian Coriander & Garlic Chicken or any of its signature desserts. Here’s a fun fact: Much had been said regarding Casa Vallejo’s ghostly apparitions as it was an old colonial structure in the early 1900’s.
