Step through the doors and you’re greeted by a surprisingly spacious dining room that’s head-to-toe decked out with sand colored wood. Wooden walls, tables, chairs, counters, and a greystone fireplace that, even if it isn’t turned on, warms the entire room.
In fact, the restaurants’ interiors are reminiscent of a big, old barnhouse; exactly the type of barn you’re likely to find in well, the highlands.
If you give it a little thought, this is precisely the kind of place where you’d find a big, juicy steak and a plethora of sides and comfort food with your dad or lolo chuckling at the head of the table with a beer in hand.
Chicken Quesadilla
Cajun sauteed chicken mixed with cheese, and baked inside a fresh flour tortilla. Served with sour cream, guacamole and tomato salsa
Highlands Bistro’s menu is best described as hefty and filling. They do have appetizers and salads but even their Angus Beef and Pulled Pork Crispy Rolls and Queenie Scallop Salad pack a punch by just reading them.

Fillet of chicken drenched in mayo and parmesan topped with tomato and mozzarella cheese. Pan fried until golden brown and served with truffle mushroom pasta
But you come for the steaks, of course. Their high quality range of steaks—prime rib, tenderloin, ribe eye—aren’t dry aged. The prime cuts of meat are seasoned and seared very simply and really let the quality of the meat take center stage. If you’ve ever had a good steak, then you know what we’re talking about.
