Watch out, Pablo!

Because a local cheese tart is just about to take over Manila!

LAVA is a proudly local bakery that will be specializing in Japanese-inspired molten lava cheese tarts made with ingredients exclusively sourced from sustainable companies and budding family enterprises in the Philippines.

Every batch of cheese tarts is baked for 7 minutes and set to cool for around 10 more minutes before serving.

You can get their Cheese Tarts by the piece (P80) or in boxes of three (P240) and six (P450). You can view the full menu here.

As of now there’s only one flavor, but more flavors are coming out soon. A salted egg edition during the Christmas season is a possibility.

You won’t see an open display of chefs preparing tarts. LAVA, who’s part of the Bibingkinitan and Waffwich group, runs a commissary.
