But DONUT fret, you can make some cinnamon donuts at home with only four ingredients: pancake mix, milk, cinnamon, and sugar. Simply follow the recipe by Kaye Vista-Mangahas to get started!
Mini Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
Ingredients:
- Quick and Easy Hotcake Mix
- 1/2 cup and 2 tbsp. milk (instead of water as written on the box)
- cinnamon
- brown sugar
Procedure:
In a bowl, combine 1/3 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon to make cinnamon sugar. Set aside.
In another bowl, prepare the doughnut batter by combining the pancake mix and milk. Once well mixed, transfer the batter in a piping bag or a ziplock bag/plastic bag and cut a hole in one corner.
To cook, pipe and shape donuts in a pan filled with oil. If you’re saving up on oil, you can submerge the donuts halfway. As soon as the half that’s submerged in oil turns golden brown, you can flip the donuts.
When all of the donuts are cooked, remove them and strain them.
Finally, toss the donuts in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Serve warm and enjoy!
