8 Cuts Burger Blends is a make-your-own burger joint, where ‘8 Cuts’ is a reference to the eight cuts of beef used in the five custom blends that only they offer. This is the group’s 6th branch in the metro.

Sabao Filipino Soup Bar – Salcedo Village

A create-your-own soup bar featuring 5 Filipino basic signature soups: Bulalo, Tinola, Sinigang, Molo and Binakol. Sabao offers ‘not just your ordinary soup bowl.’ This is the newest addition to the Mothership Group which brought us Hatch 22, Pink Panda, Niner Ichi Nana and the recently opened Bait’s Seafood Kitchen and Sprout.

Hajime Crossover Cuisine – Rockwell

Hajime is a fine dining Japanese restaurant that aims to serve dishes inspired by international cuisines. It currently offers a soft opening degustation menu priced at Php 3500++ that includes an A5 Matsuzaka Wagyu Steak and a Braised Dried Japanese Abalone. An a la carte menu and sake bar will follow soon.

I Am Kim – Estancia Mall

As we bid goodbye to Nomama Artisanal Ramen this month, we say hello to Chef Him Uy de Baron’s newest venture. I Am Kim is a Korean restaurant that allows customers to make their own bibimbap bowls from a wide selection of fresh meat and produce, sauces and rice.

Red Baron Ribs & Steaks – Sta. Cruz, Manila

Red Baron is an American steakhouse serving burgers, sandwiches, ribs and steaks at an affordable price. Banking on the same carwash eatery concept as Charlie’s Grind and Grill in Kapitolyo, Red Baron is able to establish its presence in the D. Tuazon area in QC. This is their 2nd branch in the metro.

Miao Cat Café – Congressional Ave.

The first ever cat cafe in the Philippines. Customers get to enjoy food and drinks and the company of the store’s feline friends for a door fee of P300. Their opening hours are every 2 hours (11am-1pm, 2pm-4pm, 5pm-7pm, 8pm-10pm) and bookings are strongly recommended.

Terrace 45 – Quezon City

Terrace 45 is a QC neighborhood cafe that offers classic and contemporary comfort food. Their soft opening menu includes bacon wrapped buffalo wings, corn fritters, pork rind poutine, crispy fried chicken and grilled pork chop with dirty rice. They also serve aero-pressed coffee and loose leaf teas. They are open 5pm-11pm only.

Salt Bakery – Katipunan

Salt Bakery is the newest addition to a number of sweet shops in the Katipunan area. It is the first out-of-home venture from Sam Ty, home baker and the man behind The Noodle Bakes. Salt Bakery offers ‘different but interesting’ goodies; currently it’s their Salted Egg Custard Cupcake that’s getting the crowd’s attention.

Sugar Factory Manila – TBA

If Disney is the happiest place on earth, Sugar Factory is the sweetest place on earth. It is an American brasserie and candy house best known for its sugary confections and desserts including its signature sparkly lollipops called Couture Pops, chocolates, pretzel sticks, gelato, milkshakes and more. First established in Las Vegas in 2009, it is coming to Manila soon, no further details have been announced as of this writing.

Rye Tasting Room – Salcedo Village

Il Ponticello has turned their VIP room into a new and exciting tasting room featuring a new curated drinking experience. Rye Tasting Room offers an extensive selection of single malt whiskies and other alcoholic beverages, as well as small plates for pairing. It is expected to open on March 27.

Léon Pâtisserie – Traiteur – Timog Ave.

Léon Pâtisserie-Traiteur is a french pastry shop headed by Parisian-born pastry chef Leon Izapango, whose baking philosophy centers around three principles: flavor, tradition and creativity. Chef Leon aims to bring the french culinary culture to the Philippines through his beautiful and delicious breads and desserts. It is expected to open on March 16.

A close sister of music bar and game house Treehouse Tavern, Treehouse Cafe will be opening right below it soon, offering a new menu, new decor and new vibes from Executive Chef PJ and his team.
