The legendary PSJ dropped his vlog taken in Manila!
2019 is ending soon, and yet the Korean wave is only crushing harder. K-Pop groups and K-dramas fanbase have reached their peak (as they have been for several years now). But there’s one actor whose name everyone has heard of at least once, from Fight for My Way, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, and his latest movie The Divine Fury. And even if you’re not into K-dramas, you might know him from being the face of Gong Cha, and recently Bench. If you guessed Park Seo Joon, then you are right!
Park Seo Joon had a Bench fan meet on September 29, which reportedly made fans go crazy getting their hands on the tickets. The event went all and well, but what we didn’t know was that even though his schedule was jam-packed, he flew in on September 27, leaving a lot of time to chill in Manila.
The thought of Park Seo Joon, one of South Korea’s most famous stars at the moment, walking around somewhere in Manila might’ve been absurd once. But that visual was cemented into our brains, because the actor and model gave us the ultimate fan service: his vlog.
The opening line was not only the first mention of where Park Seo Joon was going, but also proof that dad jokes are universal.
He went around with a his Starbucks cup in hand for some shopping.
Then he talked about his nieces and his dog, which would make any of his hardcore fans swoon and/or explode.
While shopping, he also managed to highlight the pride and joy of the Filipino: San Miguel.
Upon watching his vlog, we were at the edge of our seats waiting for which restaurant he graced his presence with. After passing by Japanese ramen joint Ippudo and dessert spot Gelatone, he finally settled for a spot for merienda.
Took a while for us to figure out where he ate based on his surroundings, and us being modern-day Nancy Drews, deduced that he didn’t eat at Greenbelt at all, he chose The Peninsula Manila!
For his merienda, he orders a lovely Afternoon Tea set for him and his crew. His first choice was a scone, and as if we needed another reason to love him more, he puts a crazy amount of butter on his snack like the rest of us.
As the vlog goes along, he walks around Greenbelt at night for one last time, but goes back to the hotel for an amazing dessert. So cute that he has a sweet tooth, btw. Pen Pals, Manila Peninsula’s over-the-top specialty. A loaded tower of ice cream, with 19 scoops of Rocky Road, Double Dutch, Mango, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Vanilla, finished off with cherries, Stickos, marshmallows, and whipped cream.
Look at him snap a photo and use his incredibly muscular forearm for scale.
