Book a table and get ₱500 off!

There’s more to food than just eating, it’s a meeting of cultures and memories. We may have our list of favorite cuisines, but when we talk about Filipino food, we can all argue there’s no place like home. Some of us take comfort in the tasty kare-kare our families have grown fond of, or have our minds set on bagnet. But take that and put a historical twist, and you’ve got Romulo Café.

Romulo Cafe is a tribute to Carlos P. Romulo, who was a Filipino journalist, a soldier, a diplomat that served 8 Philippine Presidents, a co-founder of the Boy Scout of the Philippines and the first President of the UN General Assembly. All these accomplishments and more made him one of the most iconic and important figures in international diplomacy.

Fun fact: General Romulo's granddaughter, Sandie Squillantini, and her husband, Enzo, operate the restaurants.

Situated at prime locations around the city, Romulo Cafe exudes the same homey ambiance with a touch of modernity across all branches – Tomas Morato, Jupiter and Alabang. Walls are adorned with photographs and memorabilia curated by Liana Romulo, another granddaughter.

Keeping to its historical roots, they pull out all the stops to make their guests feel at home but with a style of grandeur, showing a glimpse of the Philippine history though its museum-style interiors. The elegant, black and white interiors balance the contemporary accents and fixtures, with dozens of framed photos around.

Their Jupiter and Quezon City branches were designed by Ivy and Cecile Almario.

Romulo Cafe is also one of the best places for your events, they provide private functions (both indoor and outdoor) in their Tomas Morato and Jupiter branches for intimate gatherings of 10 to a grand celebration for as many as 100.

Despite its name, Romulo Cafe is also a homage to the General’s wife, Lola Virginia Llamas Romulo, whose legacy lives on through her timeless recipes. Traditional and old-fashioned are how the owners would describe their dishes; each one made out of love and passion. TIP: Vegetarian options are available.
