Shinsen – Sapphire Bloc
Discovering new and authentic restaurants gives us all a happy feeling so when we found out about Shinsen and then heard that they’re opening a new branch at Sapphire Bloc, we knew we had to share this to our beloved readers.
Shinsen, which means “fresh” in Japanese, is a home-grown sushi bar serving authentic Japanese food fare made with only the freshest ingredients available in the market. Their first and successful restaurant opened at the Hampton Gardens Arcade, but now they have a new branch at Sapphire Bloc in Ortigas.

Fun fact: Shinsen is proudly Filipino-owned and employs Japanese-trained Filipino chefs.
The interior design of the restaurant is contemporary with its artistic paintings on the walls and Japanese ornaments that can be found everywhere you look. They also have an open kitchen where you can see the chefs in action.
Shinsen offers both local and imported selections of sashimi, maki rolls, teppanyaki, donburi bowls, noodles, bento sets, and even Japanese desserts.
All of their classics and bestsellers are still available in this second branch, but they’ve also added new and improved dishes.
