15 Unique Sisig Dishes in Metro Manila That’ll Sizzle Your Tastebuds

I want to be hot, but I want a hot plate of sizzling sisig more.

Sisig is one of the most popular Filipino dishes that originated in Pampanga and is typically found in Filipino restaurants. The typical sisig recipe is composed of pig head, liver, and sometimes, chicharon too, seasoned with calamansi, soy sauce, and chili pepper. Some prefer to have theirs with rice, while some enjoy it as pulutan with their bucket of beer.

Fun fact: Lucia Cunanan of Aling Lucing's Sisig in Pampanga decided to concoct a dish involving a pig’s head, because they remain unused by the U.S. Air Force personnel. Since then, she has been dubbed as the ‘Sisig Queen’.

In this list, we’re featuring some of the most unique sisig dishes you can ever think of (there’s more than PORK sisig) and a few classic ones to give you variety when the sisig cravings creep in. Enjoy and don’t forget to bookmark this article for future reference!
