Located on the upper floor of renowned artist, Benji Reyes’s home, Tahanan Bistro is the newest must experience out-of-city dining escape in Antipolo. The Reyes’, after eight years, decides to open their doors to the public.

Fun Fact:
Tahanan Bistro, including all of the furniture, is built by Benji Reyes.

Tahanan Bistro is a casual but fine dining restaurant overlooking an expansive garden and a snapshot of the Manila skyline. It is a family-run business that was built on creativity and love for the Philippines and its produce.

The experience is very personal from beginning to end. Chef Kevin Tuason and partner Keesha Reyes greeted us warmly and welcomed us into their 32-seater lanai lounge. It is intimate, relaxed and reminiscent of the serene provincial life, which is a far cry from the hustle and bustle of life in Manila.

Insider Tip: All guests are required to leave their shoes by the door, so bring socks if you don't want to walk around barefoot.

It currently offers three different set menus: Aranga, Balayong and Katmon–inspired by the surrounding trees in their 500-sqm property. Keesha shares that they will be changing the set meals quarterly to keep their menu fresh and interesting.

Each five-course set meal is priced at P1,200 (inclusive of VAT). Every set comes with a soup, an intermezzo and a drink.

The BER months have arrived and you may want to book in advanced if you’re eyeing this place. Here’s a tip: If you’re a party of eight (8) or more, Tahanan Bistro can serve hors d’oeuvres upon request and gives away two complimentary pitchers of guests’ choice of drink.

RECOMMENDED: The Kalabasa soup is soothing to the core. For mains, the crowd favorites are the Lengua and Liempo, while the Suman and Turon are the instant standouts for desserts.
