Not to mention the beautiful interiors!

You can either love ’em or hate on ’em, but hipster restaurants are definitely here to stay. Gone are the days when we would go straight to commercial shopping malls for lunch because hole in the wall restaurants are on everyone’s cool radar. Now, whoever said sushi and burritos combined can never be a thing lacked imagination–because this restaurant in Quezon City just made history, at least in Manila.

Westwood is an international fusion restaurant that opened last April 2016. They serve steaks, sushirritos (sushi + burritos), ice cream sandwiches, and specialty drinks.

The restaurant serves an array of American-inspired dishes such as the sushi burritos. It comes in different Asian fusion flavors, including: Juan Kim (chicken adobo kimchi), Sakura Teri (chicken teriyaki), Seoul Beef Bulgogi, and the 3’s King Korean Bacon (samgyupsal).

It’s like your regular sushi…on steroids!

Westwood also offers a number of fresh salad options and affordable entrees, steaks and chicken set meals. Aside from the steaks, nothing is above P250 here for a single person order. It is also noteworthy to add that chicken steak meals are available in 1, 4 and 8 serving sizes and come with same number of unlimited drink of your choice.

Booky Tip: They only accept cash transactions for now.

Speaking of their drinks, a hipster joint wouldn’t be complete without hipster items. Westwood serves their wholesome non-alcoholic drinks in Erlenmeyer flasks. Choose from a colorful drink collection — Blue Potion, Cucumber Citron, and fruit shakes (also available in yogurt-based options).

But apart from their affordable meals and Instagram-worthy interiors, it’s really their desserts that stood out and took center stage for foodies who have already visited Westwood. Sugar levels are definitely on high with their cereal bars, specialty chocolate-dipped wafer cones and ice cream sandwiches.

Some of their ice cream flavors include Blue Monster, Mudpie, and Pistachio, while cereals can be Milo, Fruitloops and Rice Crispies.

Stack as high as 3 scoops of ice cream when you order their specialty cones.

Fun Fact: Westwood’s owners are also the geniuses behind Magpie Cafe found at the popular StrEAT: Maginhawa Food Park.
