Banapple has been people’s go-to dessert cafe for scrumptious and freshly-baked pies, cheesecakes and other desserts, as well as good food and coffee. This is their 11th store in Metro Manila; notably, the Alabang Town Center branch has been featured on our Top 5 Most Loved Restaurants in the South for December 2014 list.

Green Pastures, a farm-to-table concept restaurant created by Chef Robby Goco of crowd-favorite Cyma, promises to deliver wholly organic and locally-sourced dishes. This is currently their 2nd branch in the metro. Green Pastures has been consistently placing in our Top 10 Most Loved Restaurants in Mandaluyong and San Juan for the past months, check our February list here.

Bucky’s Counter is a coffee and dessert shop serving buckies–and no it’s not a brownie but a crossover between a flourless chocolate cake and a fudge brownie–and other desserts, as well as coffee and fresh ginger ales from Stanford x Shaw Brewing Co. TV Host and DJ Grace Lee opens a new restaurant in Estancia Mall. Eum Ma Ne, which is Korean for Mother’s place, offers Grace Lee and her mother’s traditional and modern Korean recipes like Kimchi Quesadilla and Kalbi beef. Grace Lee is also co-owner of Hoolala, a Korean chicken house that opened in Pasig just last November 2014.

We missed this restaurant’s opening last February 8 but thought it’s worth to include in this week’s list. MB Cebu Lechon offers Cebu-style lechon belly and other Filipino favorites like Sinigang na Salmon, Kare-kare and Kinilaw.

Ramen Nagi – The Podium

Ramen Nagi, headed by internationally renowned ramen master Ikuta Satoshi’s, serves Butao (‘Buta’ meaning pork and ‘O’ meaning king), the rich signature tonkotsu broth used in every bowl they serve. This will be the group’s 7th branch in the metro. Ramen Nagi is on our Top 10 Most Loved Restaurants in Pasay and in BGC for the month of February.

 

Florabel – Capitol Commons

Celebrity Chef Florabel Co-Yatco’s first baby will be moving from The Podium to Capitol Commons soon. Florabel, which is a fine dining restaurant, will continue to serve the same quality and tasteful Filipino and continental dishes. Also watch out for desserts created by Chef Miko Aspiras of Scout’s Honor fame.

 

Nadai Fujisoba – Lucky Chinatown

Nadai Fujisoba from Japan will soon serve authentic Japanese udon and soba noodles. It is also set to open a branch in The Fort soon.

 

Pho Hoa Vietnamese Noodle House – Lucky Chinatown Mall

Pho Hoa Noodle Soup, a U.S. hailed Vietnamese noodle house, specializes in naturally flavored and healthy soups. Founded nearly three decades ago, Pho Hoa operates what is today the largest Vietnamese fast-casual dining chain in the world. This will be their 24th branch in the metro.

 

Milkcow – The Fort

Milkcow is a dessert cafe serving ‘the best soft serve ice cream’. This popular Korean brand only opened late 2013 but have grown so much following because of their organic ice creams and honeycomb. Foodies from the South will be happy to know that they will be be opening a 2nd branch in BGC soon. Milkcow makes the cut on our Top 10 Most Loved Restaurants in Quezon City list for the first time this February.

 

8 Cuts Burger Blends – Salcedo Village

Joining the make-your-own burger wagon is the highly raved about 8Cuts Burger Blends. ‘8Cuts’ is a reference to the eight cuts of beef used in the five custom blends that only they offer.
